RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, an iconic NYC, New York (NY) Real Estate giant seeks Treasury Analyst. Support Chief Risk Officer & Treasurer and AVP of Treasury & Risk Management in Risk Management and Corporate Treasury activities. Risk Management work includes assisting with insurance procurement (property, casualty, etc.), payment processing and premium allocation.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform insurance requirement review of contracts, insurance policy review, vendor certificate of insurance review and verification

  • Assist in review of financing assumptions for development projects, assisting in obtaining construction loans, and managing interest rate risk through the use of derivatives

  • Participate in meetings to understand conditions of insurance market place and insurers' financial health and outlook on insurance program

  • Assist in preparation of property and casualty program renewal materials, reviewing market submission to prospective insurers and evaluating options and participating in the selection of final coverage and carriers

  • Participate in the review of legal contracts containing insurance language

  • Assist with insurance management including: distributing certificates of insurance, reviewing policies and ensuring terms and conditions are accurate and allocating insurance costs to the corporation's projects/entities

  • Assist in sourcing/selecting/documenting construction and permanent financing to support RE development projects and stabilized assets

  • Assist in solicitation of bids from interested lenders, analyzing loan proposals, recommending the optimal loan offer and helping to close the transaction

  • Conduct financial analyses to assess interest rate exposure and recommend interest rate derivatives

  • Assist in purchase of derivatives with financial counterparties

  • Work on financial risk management initiatives as identified by Chief Risk Officer & Treasurer


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, Business, Accounting, Economics

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus

  • 2-3 years corporate insurance experience (property and casualty)

  • 2-3 year of corporate treasury experience

  • Experience in a real estate environment is preferred

  • Working knowledge of financial statements, investments, taxes and discounted cash flow analysis

  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
